Where- Race starts at the elementary and ends at the high school track

Who- K-4 (Participants please wear athletic shoes and appropriate clothing on race day)

Schedule-

10 am AM Kindergarten 1/4 mile
1:30 pm PM Kindergarten 1/4 mile
  1st and 2nd Grade 1/2 mile

MJE PANTHER CUBS FUN RUN / WALK FUNDRAISER
The Parent Involvement Team (PIT) at Maxine Johnson Elementary will be sponsoring an exciting fundraising event this year that promotes a healthy lifestyle and fun at the same time. This event will be a fun run / walk to be held on Tuesday, November 3rd. The route for the kindergarten students will be a ¼-mile. The first and second grade course is a ½-mile and completing a one mile route will be the third and fourth graders.
We are working to make this a fun-filled occasion for all the students, but its success as a fundraiser is dependent upon our community support. MJE students will be asking individuals to sponsor them in this exciting event. Watch for a fundraiser sponsorship sheet to come home with the students some time mid-October. Sponsorships may have the choice of several prizes awarded from a random drawing. Students that raise the most money for our school will also earn some great prizes. Classes who reach the classroom goal will receive a special party. An additional way to contribute is simply by giving a flat donation rate of your choice to Maxine Johnson Elementary.
This fundraiser event allows the students to participate in other various fun and educational activities throughout the school year. Please keep in mind that 100% of your sponsorship or donation will go towards the students to help fund field trips, art projects and other special events. Currently these activities are free to the students largely due to fundraising projects. The PIT Fundraising Committee is asking you, local businesses, or anyone you may know to support the school and students in this challenge of reaching our goal of $8000. Any amount contributed will be greatly appreciated and will help towards our children’s education.
