Teacher Appreciation Week

All week, members of the Parent Involvement Team are heaping appreciation in the form of all kinds of treats on the staff of PHS.  Although they have attempted to keep their anonymity, some parents have been spotted bringing in plates of fruit and pastries, flowers, notecards, writing pads, etc.  The faculty would like to express sincere thanks for such beautiful, delicious, and heartfelt tributes.  What a nice way to wind up another year!

Our Littlest Panther

Principal and Mrs. David Carson just introduced their fifth son and newest member of the PHS family,
BRODY STEPHEN CARSON, class of 2026.

A BIG WIN FOR PHS!

Congratulations to Mark Finley, Coach Riley and the wrestling team for their great showing at state. Mark won the 215 lb state championship in overtime!! The team finished 5th with Evan Miller and Jed Ferguson placing second, Randy Riley placing fifth and  Kieran Riley placing third.
Asked what it took to achieve this great victory, Mark replied, "Hard work.  Hard work.  Hard work."  He also gave credit to his teammates for encouraging him all the way.  His answer to what lesson others might draw from his achievement: "Never give up."

Governor Otter attended. The band played rousing tributes to the new Mitchell Award winners. Krista Hafez presented a beautiful dedication to the students of Parma High (all potential Bruce Mitchell Scholarship winners!). Afterwards a reception was held in Panther Library.

Mr. Norton is IETA's "Friend of Technology" for 2007.
We call him one of Parma High School's BEST FRIENDS!
Upon receiving the news of Mr. Norton's selection and the presentation in Boise, the student body at PHS planned a surprise presentation of their own here at home!
Students lined the halls in the style of an honor guard and congratulated Mr. Norton as he was escorted to the head of the line. The band played the fight song, and the ASB officers presented him with a card, flowers, and balloons. We are so proud of and grateful to MR. NORTON!
