Hortencia Flores has been selected as Parma High School’s Principal’s Leadership nominee. Her selection was based on he leadership skills, participation in service organizations and clubs and academic achievements. Way to go, Hortencia!

Elise Knapp has won 2nd Place at the State Level for the VFW Voice of Democracy contest.  Way to go, Elise!!!

Becca Cox has been selected by the Daughters of the American Revolution as the Chapter winner of their Good Citizen Award. Becca will now be competing at the State Level. Way to go, Becca!!

Flores has been selected to advance to the second phase of the Gates Millennium Scholars scholarship program. At this point she only needs to verify that she is still a senior in good standing and has been accepted at a college. Since she has been accepted at the College of Idaho Hortensia and is definitely in good standing being awarded the Gates scholarship is basically a done deal.  This is a full-ride scholarship to the college of her choice through a PhD.
