COURSE CONTENT
The bulk of the workload in this class will have to do with introducing the numerous computer applications as it relates to the working world. Students will receive additional keyboarding practice, produce grammatically correct letters, learn to send and receive e-mail, use the internet for research timely and effectively. The software and programs used during this course will include but not be limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher and Power Point. The scale given below will be used to determine the semester grade.
PROJECTS/SIMULATIONS
This will consist of creating projects/simulations demonstrating concepts taught. It will demonstrate that you have mastered the applications studied.
WHEN TURNING IN ASSIGNMENTS
When turning in all assignments BE SURE to include the following: Your name, class period, assignment name (number) at the top of your work in a header format. Assignments will not be accepted IF it doesn’t have a name and (or) no one claims it after holding it for one day.
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
The classroom will be conducted in a professional and business environment. One of the advantages of Business Education is providing the students an arena to learn and study in something very similar to the work place. With this in mind, the following standards and rules are set forth which are in addition to the rules listed in the school handbook.

The grading system is to reflect some of the expectations of the workplace. Repeated errors are not acceptable in the workplace.
Students will get an opportunity to correct errors for a final grade on each outlined project which was turned in previously to improve his (her) score.
CREATE A FOLDER ON YOUR DESKTOP
AND INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL:
1) Handouts---(all information provided by the instructor this semester)
2) Production/Daily Assignments
3) Tests
4) Assigned Papers--(put in order you did them IE: revision follows original)
