**IMPORTANT** Message from Superintendent Winston

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

We have been experiencing a lot of illness throughout the district with both students and staff.  We are at a point where we are struggling to staff classrooms and even have some classrooms with over a third (or more) of their class absent.  We have seemed to hit a mixture of COVID, Flu and possibly other illnesses.

Due to the absenteeism of both students and staff, the Parma School District is canceling school tomorrow, Friday, January 21st, 2022 in order to give students and staff time to recover.  School will resume as normal on Monday, January 24th, 2022.

During the closure, extracurricular activities will continue if team numbers allow.  Athletes will be screened prior to departure to ensure they do not have any illness.  There will be no remote learning during the closure.

We hope everyone stays safe, healthy and those that are sick get better quickly.

Go Panthers!

Best Regards,

Stoney T. Winston
Superintendent Parma School District
